Welcome to Friends of the Water Trails, Inc. We bring high-quality, full-spectrum outdoor educational programs to an expanding number of communities in the field of gerontology. Friends of the Water Trails, Inc. provides on-site instructions for outdoor education, nature reflections, and outdoor skill-building activities. Our programs operate through collaborations with other organizations and donations. The programs are structured to help participants to develop self-esteem, confidence, strength, and courage, which will serve the community well into the future. We let relationships form and allow the process of sharing to happen naturally by pairing participants in mentorship programs with local organizations.
Friends of the Water Trails, Inc. is the leading provider of experiential and outdoor education programs in gerontology and healing environments. Regardless of who you are or where you are from, our programs are designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of outdoor enthusiasts by providing an educational experience that is multidisciplinary in nature. Once confidence in knowledge and skills is built by the older adult, the bridge in the generational gap of outdoor enthusiasts is healed by pairing them in a mentorship program with local community organizations. Experience one of our nature walks, camping workshops, archery sting making courses, indoor/outdoor kayaking classes, wilderness first aid, nature photography and many other offerings.
You can help save the outdoors for future enthusiasts and promote environmentally sound practices for local water trails.
